Kevin Spacey may be written out of 'House of Cards'

New allegations against American actor Kevin Spacey have emerged overnight as another actor has accused the Hollywood star of misconduct in London nine years ago.

In fact, it seems like they're cutting ties all together: "Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey", says a Netflix spokesperson.

In the USA, eight crew members who work on the Netflix series House of Cards have also told reporters that Spacey created a toxic work environment through a pattern of sexual harassment.

Kevin Spacey has been accused of sexually harassing staff on "House of Cards". The studio's statement reads, "MRC, in partnership with Netflix, will continue to evaluate a creative path forward for the program during the hiatus". A total of eight former and current workers on the show came forward with complaints against Spacey, who also serves as an executive producer on the series.

Spacey, who plays the show's male lead, Frank Underwood - a role that won him a Golden Globe in 2015 - has been at the center of a sexual abuse controversy that erupted in recent weeks.

"But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour", he said. The theater started an anonymous tip line for anyone associated with the theater - past or present - who had inappropriate interactions with Spacey to come forward.

Spacey, who has fiercely protected his private life, had never disclosed his sexuality before but said Rapp's story encouraged him to speak and he came out as a gay man. "He was a man in a very powerful position on the show and I was someone very low on the totem pole and on the food chain there".

In a statement released on November 3, 2017, Netflix announced that not only has Spacey been fired from House of Cards but the company will no longer be a part of the actor's Gore Vidal biopic.

His publicist and talent agency confirmed they had dropped him, and Spacey has made no public comment other than declaring that he was "beyond horrified" by the first allegation from actor Anthony Rapp, which he claimed not to remember.

The news comes just days after the on-demand giant suspended production on the sixth series of House of Cards.
